ACCIDENTAL SUGAR IS HITTING AT RADIO!
Moonwatcher Music's radio promotion folks just reported that with the wide-release date of Jan. 5th, Accidental Sugar was most-added CD at Smooth Jazz radio for the first week of 2010!
Nice way to start to the New Year! Thanks to all at SmoothJazz.com!
On March 27 The JT Group will be playing at one of New York's primo listening rooms: THE LIVING ROOM (www.livingroomny.com)....performing tunes from Accidental Sugar, which is now hitting at radio and has entered the Smooth Jazz charts at # 45!
Playing with me will be old friend Steve Holley on drums, who played all the drums on Accidental Sugar. In addition to being in the JT Group, Steve has played with everyone from Paul McCartney & Wings to Joe Cocker; and is presently working with Ian Hunter.
On bass, another old friend...The fabulous Luico Hopper! Luico played on my RCA release SPELLBOUND, and has played with Bryan Ferry, Luther Vandross, Roberta Flack....too many to name.
I'm so proud to be reunited with these monster players, and thrilled that our first New York show this year will be at the Living Room.
I'm also excited to report that I am producing the great rock artist Bryan Laye. We just finished tracking at The Magic Shop in New York, and after a bit of sweetening, we'll be back at Magic Shop mixing in March. This past year Bryan has been working in L.A. with rock icon Dave Mason, and has written a great bunch of tunes for this project.
Stay Tuned!
In addition to touring with The Joe Taylor Group this coming year, I'm looking forward to doing a series of West Coast gigs with the fabulous Lee Nestor. We're gearing up for a big year, and we'll keep you posted.
